Applying for a Library Card

To get a card at the Wood River Public Library you need to:

--- Proof of residency

Ex: Show that you live in the city of Wood River by bringing a recent water bill, phone bill, cable bill, lease or rent agreement with your legal name and current address.

---A photo ID

Ex: Drivers License or State ID Card.

Once you get a card at the library in the city in which you live, you may use that library card all throughout the Lewis and Clark Library System. So if you choose to drive to explore new grounds and new libraries, feel free to borrow their materials as well as long as you have your card. ID may also be asked for at time of check out, each libraries policies are different.

***Anyone living in Kendall Hill (Excluding Kendall Estates), does not pay a library tax and must purchase their library card each year.  This process may be done at the Wood River Library, by merely bringing in your current tax bill so a library clerk can figure the cost.  Roxana Public Library offers Non Resident library cards at a flat rate instead of using a tax bill method, see Roxana for details.
