5th grade and younger
The Wood River Public Library offers events for children of all ages. Most programs do not require registration or residency. They are also usually free! If you have any questions about a program or event you see listed, please call the library at 254-4832

WeeJam
Join us every Friday at 9:30 for dancing, music, and bubbles. WeeJam is best for kids 5 and younger. Free and open to anyone.

Toddler Tales
Enjoy stories, crafts, and activities geared for toddlers 18 months-3 years old. Second Wednesday of each month at 10:00 (September-May). No registration required!

Zillah the Comfort Dog
Certified Comfort Dog Zillah is at the library every second Tuesday of the month from 3:00-4:00. Kids and adults can read to her or simply pet her. All will find comfort. Please call to reserve a spot. Free to all.

Lego Family Build Day
Every fourth Saturday of the month you can bring the entire family and build with library-provided Legos. Creations will be displayed for the month. Free and no registration required!

Roll-n-Read
Join us Tuesdays at 9:00am at the Round House (633 N Wood River Ave) for stories and tumbling combined! Roll-n-Read is for 5 and younger. No registration or residency required. Roll-n-Read runs September through May.
Books & Babies
This typical lapsit is designed for babies and their caregivers up to 18 months old. Stories, songs, and more. Second Saturday of the month at 9:30am.
Movie Matinees
On Fridays when school is released early, join us for a movie and snacks. Movie starts at 12:00.
