The Wood River Public Library offers events for children of all ages. Most programs do not require registration or residency. They are also usually free! If you have any questions about a program or event you see listed, please call the library at 254-4832
1,000 Books Before Kindergarten
We are now offering 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten! Sign up on Beanstack website and start logging those books! The concept is simple, the rewards are endless! Read 1,000 books before your child reaches Kindergarten and earn a tshirt. Repeated books count multiple times!
WeeJam
Join us for a weekly dance party. Fridays at 9:30am. Kids 5 and younger.
Messy Hands
Free monthly art hour for toddlers. First Saturday of each month at 10:0am.
Tales2Tails
Each month a certified comfort dog will be in the library for kids to read to. Second Tuesday of each month from 3:00-4:00.
Roll-n-Read
This event combines literacy and movement. Meets every Tuesday, September through May at 9:00. This is an event held at the Round House (633 N. Wood River Ave). For kids 5 and younger. Free
Discovery Kids
Discover something new every month! S.T.E.A.M. activities for kids 2nd-5th grade. First Tuesday of the month at 6:00!
Toddler Tales
Storytime for those 18months-3 years. First Wednesday of each month at 10:30.
Lego Club
Get together and create something great with Library provided Legos. 2nd-8th graders. Third Tuesday of each month at 3:30.
